Welcome to Greyhound Rescue

Thinking about getting a new pet? Why not consider a retired racing Greyhound? You will be rewarded with many years of unconditional love and complete enjoyment!

Greyhound Rescue, Inc., formerly of Elkridge Maryland, is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to finding loving, forever homes for retired racing Greyhounds. We are located in Gerrardstown, West Virginia and have adoption representatives conveniently located in Maryland; Virginia, Washington, DC, parts of Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

If you are a responsible, caring person who is willing to dedicate the attention a Greyhound needs and deserves, please consider adopting one of these noble hounds through us.

Spotlight Greyhound

That very pretty brindle hound in the pics below is Witty! She's 9 and just recently retired as a brood mom. Witty is very quiet and laid-back, she enjoys napping in the sun, as you can see. She has a really nice personality that's beginning to come out more and more as she acclimates to household life. She does not look or act like a 9 year old! She could easily be mistaken for 4 or 5.
